Bambi, Faline, Geno, Membo & NelloII. overall history|Gurri was born in Böhmerwald/the Bohemian Forest and is the daughter of Bambi and Faline and the twin sister of Geno. Bambi ruled the herd they lived in. Though Bambi occasionally stopped by, Gurri and Geno were primarily raised by Faline. They often interacted with Lana and Boso, twin fawns of their Aunt Rolla (Bambi's half-sister, presumably).
One day, a fox sprang on Gurri and sliced her shoulder open. Gurri passed out. A "brown He" shot the fox dead and took the injured fawn back to his house and healed her. A screech-owl saw what had happened and informed her family. Bambi found Gurri in the brown He's yard and told her that he will come at any time to teach her how to jump over the gate. The brown He arrived, and Bambi retreated back to the forest. The former opened the gate and left. Gurri ran out and was reunited with her family.
Later, Rolla asked Gurri to tell her what had happened, but Gurri was too tired to talk about it. The next day, Rolla again demanded that Gurri tell her, but the latter just wanted to play with Lana and Boso. Some time later, a wolf-dog named Nero attacked Rolla. While trying to evade him, Rolla accidentally lured her pursuer to Geno. When Faline got word of her son's disappearance, she accused Rolla of sacrificing her son. Gurri, on the other hoof, knew Rolla would never intentionally do such a thing, so she stood up for Rolla. Faline told Gurri to shut up.
Bambi saved Geno from Nero, but Faline was still angry with Rolla. The fawns defended Rolla, pointing out that she did not mean to lure the wolf-dog to Geno. They also wanted to see if Rolla was ok, and Faline reluctantly took them to see her. When they met up with Rolla and her fawns, Boso began to antagonize Geno and chastised Faline for not letting him know his mother had been injured. Gurri admitted that they should have sent a messenger, but Faline refused to admit she had been wrong out of pride.
The next day, Geno and Gurri found two orphaned fawns named Membo and Nello, whose parents had been killed by a He. Faline thought that if she was very kind to them she would not have to reproach herself any longer for her injustice to Rolla. So she adopted them. Her selfish motive behind her adoption of Membo and Nello quickly passed, and she grew to love them as if they were her own. Gurri got along with Membo and Nello so well that she forgot all about Rolla, Boso and Lana.
Bambi eventually came to see Faline and the fawns. After Faline introduced Membo and Nello, Bambi asked how they got along with Lana and Boso. Silence fell upon them all. None of them knew how to answer. Bambi demanded to know what was going on, and Faline told him of Rolla's escape from the wolf-dog and Geno's subsequent peril. Bambi asked Gurri to take Membo and Nello away for a moment. Gurri obeyed, leaving Bambi alone with Faline and Geno. Bambi essentially told them that they had treated Rolla badly and said they must apologize to them.
Boso challenged Geno to a fight, but Geno refused. He ultimately relented when Boso began to spread rumors about him being a coward. He fought Boso and defeated him. Geno tried to apologize to Lana, but she refused to talk to him after that. Lana forgave Geno after Bambi saved Boso and Geno's lives by impaling a trigger-happy fourteen-year-old boy with his antlers. The feud between the two families had finally ended.
